Monday, June 01, 2009 - DOMA is Supporting the Wounded Warriors

DOMA was recently awarded a contract as a subcontractor to MANCON Inc. in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Wounded, Ill and Injured Program. The Secretary of Defense, the U.S. Army, and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs have been tasked with the joint development and implementation of an Electronic Health Records system that will allow for full interoperability of personal health care information between the participating agencies in support of returning Wounded Warriors and War Veterans.

The purpose of the system is to provide soldiers transitioning from the US Army with an electronic copy of their personnel and medical record in a secure and transferable format that is interoperable with ongoing efforts of the DoD/VA data sharing program. DOMA Technologies, as a Document Management company has been selected to provide complete Independent Validation and Verification (IV & V) testing support of all software and hardware solutions that are developed in support of this initiative. DOMA Test Engineers will develop all IV & V Test Plans and conduct testing on any developed software/system applications.

DOMA field technicians will also participate in the Test and Evaluation process at multiple US Army and Army National Guard locations once initial approval has been granted to roll out the electronic records solution to the operational environment.

The goal of this program is to ensure demographic, personal, and medical information of service members, veterans, and their beneficiaries is visible, accessible, and understandable through secure and interoperable information management systems.
