  • The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) implemented the Private Medical Records (PMR) Retrieval Program to improve timeliness for the receipt of medical records in support of a Veteran’s or Dependent of a Veteran’s disability benefits, assist the VBA with claims development and to retrieve private medical records from Private Healthcare Providers in support of a Veteran’s claim
  • Prime program within VBA, Compensation and Pension
  • Competed as a Full and Open procurement in 2017
  • Began as Pilot Program in 2010, supporting 10 VA Regional Offices
  • After 2 Pilot Phases, the Program went National in 2012 supporting all 56 VA Regional Offices, 3 VA Pension Management Centers, and the VA Appeals Management Center
  • DOMA performs outreach to thousands of healthcare providers, release of information providers, and third-party organizations nationwide
  • This critical program utilizes the innovative DOMA Cloud technology platform, cleared personnel, and optimized processes to track down and aggregate sensitive information from diverse medical facilities across the country
  • The mission of the PMR Program is to streamline operations on the front-end, shorten the total disability claim processing timeline and allow for resource allocation within the VBA to focus on other claims development work
  • The PMR Program team develops approximately 5,000 VAF 21-4142s every week on behalf of the VBA
