How it Works
Automated data redaction is a paperless solution that addresses all of the challenges of manual redaction.
Customers specify the fields or types of information to be redacted for different document types. A custom back end process is built to identify a document by type and redact the specified information using basic pattern recognition, keywords, and/or zonal cues.
Use Case
DOMA Redact is an important part of DOMA’s Private Medical Records (PMR) program. Our PMR team uses automated redaction to obscure private health information when reaching out to providers for healthcare records on behalf of veterans. DX Redact has a direct effect on helping to expedite veterans medical claims.
Leveraging the DX Redact microservice, we’ve been able to help protect and completely eliminate all manual redacting of HIPAA information during the Release of Information (ROI) workflow processes on the nationwide Private Medical Record retrieval services contract.
